RucJa ("RucJa", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and share information when you use the RucJa mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App").
This Privacy Policy also explains how RucJa handles information when you choose to use AI-powered features provided through third-party AI service providers.
Your use of the App is subject to this Privacy Policy and any applicable terms presented to you within the App.
AI data sharing is separate from your general use of the App. RucJa will request your explicit permission before sending personal information to a third-party AI service.

RucJa provides certain optional AI-powered features that may help users organize, summarize, understand, or interact with information provided through the App.
RucJa uses third-party AI service providers, OpenAI and Anthropic (Claude), to provide certain AI-powered functionality.
Depending on the particular AI feature, information may be transmitted to OpenAI, Anthropic, or both.
Before RucJa sends personal information to a third-party AI service, the App will display an AI data-sharing consent notice.

If the user selects "Allow AI Data Sharing", RucJa may send the information necessary to provide the requested AI functionality.
If the user selects "Don't Allow", RucJa will not send the user's personal information to the applicable third-party AI service for that AI-powered feature, and the user will not be able to use AI functionality that requires such data sharing.
Declining AI data sharing does not prevent the user from using other RucJa features that do not require third-party AI processing.
RucJa does not treat general use of the App, account creation, or acceptance of this Privacy Policy as consent to optional AI data sharing. AI data sharing requires separate user permission.

RucJa limits the information sent to third-party AI providers to information reasonably necessary for the requested AI functionality. RucJa does not send your account credentials or payment information to any AI provider.
Users should avoid submitting information that is not necessary for the AI functionality they are requesting.
When you provide the required consent and use an AI-powered feature, the applicable information may be transmitted to:
Both providers are located in the United States, so information sent to them is transferred to and processed in the United States.
Depending on the specific AI feature, the information may be processed by OpenAI, Anthropic, or both. No other AI provider receives your information.
RucJa does not sell personal information to OpenAI, Anthropic, or other third-party AI providers.
Information shared with a third-party AI provider is used to process the AI request and provide the functionality requested by the user.

RucJa does not use third-party AI services to replace professional medical diagnosis, treatment, or medical care.
AI-generated information may contain errors and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
You can review and change your AI data-sharing permission at any time in the App under Settings › Privacy › AI Data Sharing (also reachable from Menu › AI Data Sharing). There you can:
If you withdraw permission, RucJa blocks every AI-powered request that would send personal information to OpenAI or Anthropic, without asking again, until you explicitly allow sharing again from the same screen.
Declining on the consent notice ("Don't Allow") sends nothing, and you will be asked again the next time you open an AI-powered feature.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal where that processing was lawful.
RucJa uses OpenAI and Anthropic only through their business API services, under written data processing agreements. Under those agreements, each provider:

RucJa does not sell your information to OpenAI, Anthropic, or any other provider, and takes reasonable steps to use third-party AI services in a manner consistent with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.
RucJa retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
Results produced by AI-powered features (for example transcripts, extracted report values, and summaries) are stored in your RucJa account for as long as your account is active or until you delete them.
OpenAI and Anthropic may retain the information sent to them for up to 30 days for abuse and safety monitoring, after which it is deleted. They do not retain your information to train their models.
You may request deletion of personal information, including AI-generated results, through the process described in Section 9. Where a provider still holds information within its retention period, RucJa will pass on your deletion request in accordance with its contractual arrangements and applicable law.
RucJa does not sell your personal information.

You may request deletion of your RucJa account and associated personal information.
Please include the email address associated with your RucJa account so that we can verify your request.
After appropriate verification, we will process the deletion request and remove personal information from active systems within 30 days where reasonably practicable, except where retention is required or permitted by applicable law.
Deleting your account may not automatically delete information that must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, regulatory, or other legitimate purposes.
Requests concerning information processed by third-party service providers, including OpenAI and Anthropic, will be handled in accordance with our contractual arrangements and applicable law.
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or the minimum age required by applicable local law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

The use of a third-party service does not mean that RucJa sells your personal information to that provider.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, legal requirements, or privacy practices.
When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the App or other appropriate communication methods.
Your continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective will be subject to the updated policy.
Changes to this Privacy Policy do not replace or override any separate consent that may be required for optional processing activities, including AI data sharing. If the AI data-sharing notice changes materially, the App will show you the updated notice and ask for your permission again before any further AI data sharing.
RucJa provides an optional in-app voice calling feature that allows users to communicate with healthcare professionals.
When you use voice calling, RucJa may process information necessary to establish and manage the call, including the identities or account information of the participants, call date and time, call duration, call status, connection information, device information, IP address, and technical or diagnostic information related to call quality and service operation.
RucJa requires access to your device microphone when you participate in a voice call. Microphone access is used only to transmit your audio during the call. RucJa does not access the microphone when you are not using the voice calling feature, subject to the behavior of the operating system and the calling technology used.
Voice calls are not recorded or stored by RucJa unless this is specifically disclosed to you before or during the call. If call recording is introduced, RucJa will provide appropriate notice and explain the purpose, storage period, access, and applicable choices before recording takes place.
This is separate from the optional Consultation Recording feature, which records an in-person consultation only when you start the recording yourself and only after you have allowed AI data sharing. Consultation Recording is described in Section 5.
RucJa may use third-party communication, voice calling, cloud infrastructure, or technology service providers to establish and support voice calls. These providers may process call-related technical information and audio data as necessary to provide the calling service. Such processing is subject to applicable contractual, security, and privacy requirements.
RucJa uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through the voice calling feature. However, no electronic communication or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users may stop using voice calling or revoke microphone permission through their device settings. Revoking microphone permission may prevent the voice calling feature from functioning.
